Why Industry Awards Matter
In some industries, award ceremonies have a bad reputation:
Pay-to-win events with no real selection criteria and a lack of widespread participation.
In broking, it’s different.
Most Australian brokerages participate in awards ceremonies, and those ceremonies make decisions based on rigorous methodologies, not whoever bought the most tables.
Broking awards aren’t for show.
They aren’t for sale.
They’re real indicators of a brokerage’s quality.
That’s why we’re proud to have been recognised more than 60 times since 2013 – more than any other independent brokerage in Australia.

About Australia’s Broking Ceremonies
Australian Broking Awards
The Australian Broking Awards (ABAs) recognise leading individuals, brokerages, and aggregators across Australia.
Hosted by The Adviser, one of Australia’s leading mortgage broking publications, the ABAs have 16 group award categories, including ‘Major Independent Brokerage of the Year’.
Australian Mortgage Awards
The leading independent mortgage broking ceremony, the Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) are for brokers, brokerages, lenders, aggregators, and BDMs.
The AMAs include 27 award categories; winners and nominees are determined following a rigorous selection process.
Better Business Awards
The Adviser’s Better Business Awards (BBAs) have a broader focus than the ABAs.
With awards like ‘Mentor of the Year’ and ‘Best Residential Broker’, the BBAs are open to brokerages, lenders, aggregators, and individuals in the broking industry.
Connective Excellence Awards
The Connective Excellence Awards (CEAs) are hosted by Connective, Australia’s leading aggregator.
With 19 award categories across five state groupings, the CEAs recognise both brokerages and individuals.
MFAA Excellence Awards
The Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) works to create a healthier, more competitive finance and broking industry for its more than 14,500 members.
The MFAA Excellence Awards – which include national and state tiers – have 24 categories for lenders, brokers, aggregators, and individuals.
MPA
MPA is the leading business intelligence magazine for Australian brokers. Each year, MPA publishes two special reports: one featuring the top 50 Australian brokerages, and the other listing the top 100 Australian brokers.
The reports are compiled by analysing each entrant’s financial metrics, which are verified by their aggregator.

“ALIC was founded on the promise of ‘ethical lending’ – our North Star is long-term client satisfaction. We prioritise helping clients understand their long-term objectives and how wealth built through property can help them achieve those objectives.
From an incentives perspective, we minimise the risk of unconscious biases through a broad-based, diverse lender panel that includes both major banks and second-tier lenders. Our brokers receive the same commission percentage, irrespective of which referrals they make.
Importantly, we also connect our clients to other relevant solutions providers, such as buyers advocates and property advisers. By supplementing our brokers’ recommendations with advice from other qualified professionals, we ensure that our clients can make fully informed decisions about their financial futures, rather than relying on potentially biased information from a single source.”
